Fly-Fishing is Highly Addictive. There is no Known Cure and the best you can hope for is to relieve the symptoms, preferably twice a week.

Flyfishing is also one of the few sports that you can enjoy and do well in from age Eight to Eighty. If you have not started yet your only regret when you do will be that you did not take it up earlier. The fact that you are reading this site probably shows that you have an interest in taking it up or possibly upgrading your outfit.

Buying the right tackle is not always easy. Its very possible to phone up one of the Mail Order companies and get information about tackle from a young, inexperienced and bored assistant who fell out with his girlfriend last night. Some of the better places do have experienced people but they seldom pick up the phone and the whole place seems to be staffed by Tele-receptionists! If you do get hold of the token expert he tries to sell you the most expensive items to justify his time.

I am not interested in becoming a mail order giant or making a fortune. We don't have budgets or forecasts to meet. My wife and I have a small but very successful Fishing Tackle and Outdoor Clothing Shop. It pays the mortgages, feeds us and lets me go fishing more than most people.
