| Robbie
and Margaret Bell
Robbie
Bell does not remember when he started fishing but he does
remember buying his first rod and reel from his cousin at
the age of nine. It cost 10 shillings in old money (50P).
He has fished ever since but did take the almost mandatory
10-year break at around 16 when he discovered Beer and Women.
Robbie holds a Game Angling Instructors Association Certificate
in Trout Fishing and is also a keen competition angler. He
has won his Club Championship seven times including five in
a row. Robbie also qualified to fish for England in the Loch
Style International at Lynn Brenig in September 2004.

Other
achievements include winning the old Kielder Pairs with Paul
Tindle in 1995. He has also; possibly uniquely, qualified
for the Scottish and English River Finals. (Dual Nationality)
He has also qualified for the Lexus European Final in 2001,
2002, 2005.

It
is not all competition fishing by any means though and he
also fishes as many purely pleasure days on the rivers and
stillwaters. He tries to get out at least twice a week!
Robbie
is a mad keen angler and will be more than happy to answer
any questions on every aspect of Trout and Grayling Flyfishing.
Cast
Construction, Tackle, Dry Fly, Static Nymph, Competition Secrets,
Lure Pulling, Czech Nymphing, High Sticking and of course
Casting. As an angler he can also ensure that you get the
right Tackle for the type of fishing that you wish to do.
He does not claim to have fished everywhere and know the answer
to every question. However he probably knows an angler who
does. He is on very friendly terms with top anglers such as
Ronnie Glass, Dick Logan and Paul Buchanan in Scotland and
Tony Curtis, Iain Barr and Jeremy Lucas in England as well
as many many more.
Robbie
is a member of the STA, ACA, Wild Trout Trust, Grayling Society,
RWFFA, GWFFA and Fly Dressers Guild
Although
Margaret has not done a lot of fishing she has worked in Retail
almost all her life and we have had our Tackle Shop for over
Eighteen Years. In that time Margaret has picked up a great
deal of knowledge and can always give good advice. We both
however know when we need to consult with each other or any
of our expert friends and colleagues.
