News August -> October 05

Well first of all apologies for the lack of updates to this section.

Once again it has been a busy summer both in the shop and with my own personal fishing.

I have done a lot of fishing this year, probably a 100 trips in the last twelve months!

My record has been six times in a week. That did include four evenings on the local River Whiteadder but hey they all count.......... or don't count as the Chinese Philosopher said.

So what sort of season have I had?

Well to blow my own trumpet just a wee bit I qualified for the National Rivers Final, The Lexus European Open Final and I won my Club Championship for the sixth time out of the last seven.

So not a bad season and although not my best, it was far from my worst.

The main thing is that I am a better angler now than I was at the start of the season.

This is probably particularly true on the rivers although I still have a long way to go.

I have a long way to go on stillwaters as well but that's another story.

Well I just cannot get at the grayling for the Rain.

I have a Grayling Season Ticket on the Ure at Masham and I am not able to use it.
