I offer High Quality and Friendly Fly-Fishing Instruction and Guiding complete with all Tackle, Equipment and Transport on many Rivers and Stillwaters in the Eastern Scottish Borders.

River Fishing Tuition is normally done on The River Whiteadder (A private beat is sometimes available) which is the first tributary of the River Tweed up from the sea and is an ideal size for learning. It is not too daunting a water for beginners but also requires good river craft to fool the Wild Brown Trout.

Grayling Tuition is done on the Tweed and Teviot and I have access to Private and Association Water.

For Stillwater Tuition I would normally use the Whinney Loch, Coldingham Loch, Chatton Fishery, The Watch Reservoir, or Sweethope. This can be Bank or Boat Fishing. I also have access to a Private Pond.

I can cater for Novices, Intermediate and Expert Anglers.

I personally fish to a very high standard and I am Professionally Qualified and Fully Insured.

Subjects covered include,

Safety, Tackle, Dry Fly, Static Nymph, Lure Pulling, Czech Nymphing, High Sticking,

Duo and Trio, Double Nymphing, Curly Wurly Indicators, French Nymphing, Competition Secrets, Basic Entomology, Cast Construction, Fly Tying and of course Casting.

I can provide anything from a casting tune up to a full multiple day course covering all Fly-Fishing and related subjects.

Prices start at £15 an hour (Minimum 2 Hours) A full River or Stillwater Day costs £100 plus permit. (£10 to £50 depending on Venue and/or Lunch,Transport) Half price for second adult. Under 14 free with full adult.

Tuition is done at a mutually acceptable date and time and my bookings are limited by the amount of personal fishing that I do.

Gift Certificates for Birthdays, Anniversaries and Christmas are available.
